Wednesday, 01 June 2011

The retailer has agreed to take an assignment of Mallett Antiques' lease at
141-142 New Bond Street.

Fendi is understood to have paid a premium of £1.7m to secure the 11,787 sq
ft store and will pay a rent of £1.2m a year. The lease on the store, which is
sandwiched between Zilli and Ralph Lauren childrenswear, will expire in
2027.

Fendi already trades from a store at 20-22 Sloane Street in Knightsbridge,
and Mallett is understood to be in advanced negotiations to secure another store
in Mayfair.

Mallett Antiques is one of the oldest established antiques dealers in the
world.
