Goya Developments purchase East London site

Thursday, 05 January 2012

Goya Developments, advised by DE&J Levy, has purchased the freehold of a 4 acre site at 101 Stephenson Street, London E16 from P&O Developments.

The site was acquired with funding from WCT and has a short term lease in place to LOCOG, who will use the building during the Olympic Games as a registration and distribution centre.

Following the lease expiry in October the site will be cleared and, subject to planning, a 110,000 sq ft, 12 -unit industrial scheme will be built.

DE&J Levy has been instructed on the onward letting and industrial partner Jeremy Grundy commented:  "Very few sites are being speculatively developed in the UK and only exceptionally well located sites are capable of attracting funding and tenants. The Olympics will highlight the opportunities that East London can offer for those businesses with a longer term vision."
